Welcome to The Learning Centre
The Learning Centre offers academic skills support to all students enrolled at UNSW.
On this site you will find information about The Learning Centre and our core services. These include:
- individual consultations
- academic skills workshops
- Conversation Café groups
- online academic skills resources
- Academic Skills Plus, a General Education course that helps students develop their academic skills and gain academic credit.
We have services designed specifically for undergraduate students, postgraduate research students and postgraduate coursework students. We also run enabling programs, the University Preparation Program (UPP), a mature age access program, and the UNSW Prep Program (17-19) for younger students.
The Learning Centre also assists staff and students to uphold UNSW's ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of learning informed by academic integrity, through face-to-face consultations and workshops and through our Moodle module Working with Academic Integrity.
UNSW staff who would like to know how The Learning Centre can assist their students to develop their academic skills can find examples of how our staff work collaboratively with colleagues in Schools and Faculties. You can also find out about Learning Centre staff.
We invite students and staff to visit us in our offices either at the Chancellery at UNSW Kensington or at the Faculty of Art and Design at Paddington.
