After training and working as a professional actress for 10 years, Bronwen completed a 1st class honours degree in English and History at UNSW Australia, and a Diploma of Information Management.

Bron first worked at The Learning Centre in 1998 as a Peer Writing Assistant and as a facilitator for conversation and pronunciation classes. She also tutored on REGZ9000 (University Orientation and Study Skills, a core component of the University Preparation Program), and on the Academic Preparation Program for International students.

In 2010, Bron joined the Centre as a Learning Adviser and currently convenes The Learning Centre Conversation groups, as well as running Academic Skills Workshops and individual consultations. She is particularly interested in working with ESL postgraduate research students and runs a 10-week course on Advanced Academic Writing, as well as participating in the Thesis Writing Support Program. Teaching Engineering students communication skills is another of Bron’s interests and she is the primary lecturer for the Engineering course ENGG0360.

Bron has worked as a researcher for Dr Helen Jarvis and lectured and tutored in the Schools of History, English and Film – all at UNSW. She intends to finish her PhD when she can find the time.
